The lawyers will boycott the courts and take out rally here on Thursday in protest against dismissal of judges of the higher courts and to compel the government to reinstate them with Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry as Chief Justice of Pakistan.
The Lahore Bar and the High Court Bar would hold their general body meetings and would proceed at the Mall road, after joining at the main gate of the Lahore High Court (LHC). Further, the rally would be joined by political and human rights activists, students, and members of civil society. The participants will be wearing black bands with black flags, banners and placards. The lawyers would also sit in the hunger strike camps held in the bar premises to express their solidarity with the deposed judges.
