The profit after tax of Lucky Cement Limited has increased to Rs 2.677 billion in the year ended June 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 2.547 billion in the corresponding period last year. The board of directors of the company at its meeting here on Thursday declared that the company's earning per share stood at Rs 9.84 in the period under review against Rs 9.67 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results, the company's net turnover increased to Rs 16.957 billion in this period against Rs 12.521 billion in the same period last year. On the other hand, the cost of sales surged to Rs 12.595 billion in this period against Rs 8.846 billion in previous year. The company's profit before tax stood at Rs 2.306 billion in this period against Rs 2.690 billion in the same period last year.
