The security forces shelled the militants' hideouts and targeted two vehicles of militants with gunship helicopters at restive Koza Bandi and Bara Bandi in Swat district, killing 23 militants and injuring several others, an official of ISPR said on late Thursday.
Major Nasir, ISPR Spokesman in Swat Media Centre told APP by phone a Datson carrying armed militants was targeted with the help of gunship helicopters at Kozai Bandi that left eight militants dead and several injured.
In the other incident, he said the gunship helicopters pounded militants hideouts at Kozai Bandai, killing at least 14 Taliban. Major Nasir said the security forces targeted yet another vehicle which was carrying militants wearing veil at Bara Bandi, killing a militant on the spot. Huge quantity of arms, ammunition and explosive devices has been recovered from the possession of militants, Major Nasir said.
Soon after the incident, the security forces cordoned of the area and nobody was allowed to enter. He said that no casualty has been reported on side of security forces.
