The Karachi Port handled 83,986 tonnes of cargo including 54,180 tonnes of import, 29,806 tonnes of export cargo and 2,693 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The freights comprised of 48,776 tonnes of dry cargo including 29,466 tonnes of general cargo; 6,306 tonnes of wheat; 2,060 tonnes of rock phosphate; 5,732 tonnes of cement; 5,212 tonnes of clinker and 35,210 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Nine ships namely India Express, Bavaria Express, Dija Bhum, Blida, Grigoroussa-1, Ashraf-B, Bow Hunter, Xiang An and Wilis sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz Caribbean Carrier 1, Sari, Mol Ability, Wilis and ECE-A are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Hyundai Baron, Mol Ability, Erria Vietnam, Omega King and ECE-A expected to sail on Tuesday while another vessel viz Sidratul Muntaha is expected to sail on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz Serilen, Apl Chicago and Lake Maja due to arrive on Tuesday while another nine ships namely Memphis, Northern Harmony, Kota Puri, Cape Colorado, Global Progress, Conti Harmony, Oeala, Jia Qiang and Fatima 1 are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 55,544 tonnes including 30,231 tonnes of import 25,313 tonnes of export cargo and 995 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The cargoes comprised of 14,000 tonnes crude oil; 4,591 tonnes of palm oil; 215 tonnes of wheat; 11,700 tonnes of coke; 7,200 tonnes of chemicals; 4,593 tonnes of cement and 13,245 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three vessels viz MV St. Mark, MT Sinar Agra and MT Chem Star Hero sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another four ships namely CV MSC Rosa-M, MT Mare Atlantic, MT DL Aster and MV Bernica are expected to sail on Tuesday. A total of nine ships namely Shinyo Integrity, Hellenic Horizon, Bow Hunter, Chemroad Luna, Med Salvador, Energy Falcon, Mustafa Bay, Captain Markos and Babi Tonga carrying wheat, iron ore, palm oil, rape seed, cement and coal respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine vessels viz CV MSC Rosa-M, MV Bernica, MV Orient-II, MT Mare Atlantic, MT Chem Star Hero, MT DL. Aster, MT St. Mark, MT Sinar Agra and MV Gem of Rozi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, crude oil, palm oil, wheat, chemicals and coke respectively during last 24 hours. Two ships namely MT Bow Hunter and MV Mustafa Bay are expected to take berths at Multi Purpose Terminal on Tuesday.
Five vessels viz Maersk Carolina, CV Maersk Deva, NV Karolina, MT Al-Salam-II and MT Prem Pride are due to arrive on Tuesday while three more vessels viz MT Sinar Agra, CV San Andres and CV Vilie D Aquarius are due to arrive on Wednesday.
