Youm-e-Ali being observed amid tight security

KARACHI: In order to ensure security in Karachi on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali, Rangers and Police contingents conducted a flag march on the route of Youm-e-Ali procession at the MA Jinnah Road on Friday night.

To maintain safe and steady procession, all shops on the route of the procession have been closed while containers have been placed to prevent entry from other roads and streets joining the MA Jinnah Road. Traffic is being diverted to other routes.

On Friday night, while search operation a suspicious box was found, but later was declared to have no explosive by the bomb disposal squad.
