Chief Minister NWFP has granted 60 days special remission to all the convicted prisoners languishing in the jails of the province except those convicted under NAB Ordinance, murder, espionage, subversion, anti-state activities.
Sectarianism, zina (section-10) (enforcement of Hudood) Ordinance, 1979 (also under section 377 PPC), robbery (section 394 PPC), dacoity (section 395, 396 PPC), kidnapping/abduction (section 364-A and 365-A PPC), terrorists acts (as defined in the anti terrorism (second amendment) Ordinance, 1999 (No XIII of 1999), condemned prisoners and convicted prisoners undergoing sentences under the foreigners act, 1946.
