The last date for receiving applications under Green Tractor Subsidy Scheme has been extended by government of Punjab for further one week. Now applications under Green Tractor Subsidy Scheme will be received up to 22nd September 2008. The spokesman of agriculture department Punjab has said that 10,000 tractors under the scheme will be provided to small farmers in Punjab province by advancing subsidy of Rs 200,000 per tractor.
The farmers may get application forms from office of relevant Deputy District Officer (Revenue) for Rs 250 per form. The spokesman further added that computerised draw for allotment of tractors under Green Tractor Scheme will be held in Lahore on 23rd October 2008. The farmers having five acres of land in relevant Tehsil and land holdings up to 25 acres in irrigated area and 50 acres in Barani areas may apply and benefit from this subsidy scheme.
