Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan has no agreement with USA regarding the attacks on tribal areas according to which it can do such activities in the Pakistani territory. While talking to newsmen and delegations at Multan airport here on Saturday evening, Shah Mehmood said that Pakistan's viewpoint is very clear that Pak-Afghan co-operation is mandatory to win the battle against terrorism.
To a question, he said that the statement of army chief regarding the cease-fire is explaining the government's viewpoint. He further said that there is complete harmony between the leadership of the political parties and forces. Talking about the Kashmir Issue, Qureshi said that Kashmir is the important issue in the foreign policy of Pakistan and president has formed a parliamentary committee in this regard, which would proceed further after the mutual consultation of the leadership of all the political parties.
Talking about the president's visit to China, he said that it was the wish of the president to pay the first official visit to China but now at this time he is on his private visit to Dubai and then would go to United Nations regarding an important meeting. He said that the opposition parties are convinced with the government's stance on war against terror.
In another question, Shah Mehmood said that Great Britain, France and other countries are satisfied with the measures of the Pakistani government in northern areas. He said that President Asif Zardari has invited Afghan President Hamid Karzai on his oath taking ceremony regarding the betterment of Pak-Afghan relationships. Pakistan and Afghanistan can win the war against terror. Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Public Relation Punjab, Khawaja Rizwan Alam was also present on this occasion.
