The Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) has cleared dues of over Rs 3 billion. An announcement to this effect was made in a statement issued here on Tuesday. It said that within the first 10 days of take-over, the new KESC management has paid Rs 1 billion to Wapda and over Rs 2 billion to the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
The statement also pointed out that this positive step from the new KESC management clearly reflects on their commitment, determination and drive to bring about a sustainable improvement in the overall state of affairs of the utility and also foster strong working relationship with the stakeholders.
