Rich wheat crop likely due to raise in support price

A handsome increase in the official support price of wheat, from Rs 650 to 950, announced by the government will greatly benefit the farmers as they will get the due return. This was stated by Member National Assembly (MNA) Javed Iqbal Warraich while talking to APP here on Tuesday.
"This year the country will get a rich crop of wheat due to this milestone encouragement by the PPP-led government", he said and added that as the cultivation of wheat was to begin shortly increasing land would be cultivated with the golden grain. He said that support price of other crops would also be raised in due course of time.
