Pakistan's Ambassador to US, Hussain Haqqani has demanded that the US should immediately hand over Dr Aafia Siddiqui to Pakistan. According to a Private News channel, he said there are better facilities of psychiatric evaluation and treatment in Pakistan.
Earlier, the US State department apprised of Pakistan embassy that Dr Siddiqui has been moved to Texas from New York for a psychiatric evaluation on court's order. Dr Aafia's lawyer had pleaded that she should not be sent to Texas where she could undergo psychiatric examination only, as she needs medical treatment as well.
