The Karachi Port handled 88,255 tonnes of cargo including 71,596 tonnes of import, 16,659 tonnes of export cargo and 2,678 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The freights comprised of 59,829 tonnes of dry cargo including 30,657 tonnes of general cargo; 4,813 tonnes of fertiliser; 10,999 tonnes of wheat; 2,255 rape seeds; 11,105 tonnes of cement and 28,426 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Hermann Scan, Gulf Tiger, Far Singapore, Sima Pride, Blida, Sinar Agra and Hanjin Ningbo sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Seven vessels viz Hanjin Ningbo, Quetta, Sinar Agra, Ym Improvement, Adriatic Arrow, Oel Transworld and Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Ramlah, Ym Improvement and Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson expected to sail on Saturday while another five vessels viz Quetta, Valbella, Bavaria Express, Adriatic Arrow and Da Tian expected to sail on Sunday.
Six ships namely Dolphina, Bavaria Express, Deja Bhum, Sima Sahba, Sealo-1 and Karia Omayra due to arrive on Saturday while nine ships namely North Pole, Sun Neptune, Ninos, Arnis, Lucky Arrow, Pacific Arrow, Industrial Dream, Makran and Royal Success are due to arrive on Sunday. Two ships namely Mariann and Lalazar are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 89,749 tonnes including 87,325 tonnes of import 2,424 tonnes of export cargo and 759 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday. The cargoes comprised of 13,229 tonnes of wheat; 40,994 tonnes furnace oil; 11,800 tonnes of palm oil; 10,277 tonnes of coke; 2,136 tonnes of cement and 11,313 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Five container vessels viz CV NYK Cosmos, CV ACX Marguerite, MT Al-Soor-II, MV Apostolos and MV Jaipur sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of twentytwo ships namely Golden Beam Trader, RM Power, Nan Hai, Giorgis milas, Pacific Scorpio, Karavados, Ocala, Shafi, Vaafi, Ibn Batouta, Van Coure, Ataqa, Jami Kos-T, Vola-1, Transports, Al-Salam-II, R.S.Z. Joy, Maersk Montana, Sinar Agra, Stolt Nanami, Qem Star and Beluga Indication carrying wheat, iron ore, cement, rice, palm oil, diesel oil, coal, containers, paraxylin, phosphoric acid, VCM and project cargo respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV ACX Marguerite, MV Jaipur, MV Richmond, MV Avenier, MT Chemroad Vega, MT Vema Ocean and MV Giovanni are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, furnace oil and coke respectively during the report period.
Two ships namely MV Ataqa and MT Sinar Agra carrying are expected to take berths at Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Saturday. Chemicals carrier MT Royal Imperial due to arrive on Saturday while three more ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Al-Fujairah and CV Bux Lagoon are due to arrive on Sunday.
