World Rural Women's Day is being observed at the international level as in Pakistan and its rural areas on Wednesday, (October 15). Special functions will be held across the country, in the main cities as well as rural towns and villages to generate greater awareness of rural women issues, and hold deliberations at the government and local level to address their problems.
The biggest function in this connection will be held at the Lok Virsa, Islamabad, where participants will include a 25-member women delegation from here to represent the rural women of Rahim Yar Khan (RYK) region, said sources.
