Government has nominated Khawaja Muhammad Jalaluddin Roomi as chairman of board of management of Light Engineering Project (LEP) which would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 200 million. It would be completed by December 2008 and it would be operational in January 2009.
Presiding over the maiden meeting of this management board Khawaja Muhammad Jalaluddin Roomi said that latest technology machinery was erected in this project to enter the new era of industrialisation and it would help in boosting up the industrial production besides reducing the cost of production. The meeting was also attended by the members of the board ie Syed Sibtain Gilani, Shamshad Jafari, Iqbal Hassan, Dr Shabbar Atique, Adnan Rashid and presided over by Khawaja Muhammad Jalaluddin Roomi who is also president of MCCI and chairman of Board of management of Nishtar Hospital/Medical College.
