The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued contempt notice to the chief executive Lesco for Wednesday (today) for charging excessive bills despite the fact that court had issued a stay order in this regard. The petitioner, ICC Textile Mills, through its counsel pleaded that LHC had restrained Lesco from charging increased rate under Tariff B-III.
But the Lesco sent bills as per increased tariff. The petitioner company said when its representative went to Lesco authorities to get the bill corrected they declined. The petitioner said that the Lesco had committed contempt of court and its officials should be tried under relevant law.
