The world's top cellphone maker Nokia has signed up Orascom Telecom Holding as a customer for its Internet services, the firms said in a joint statement. Orascom Telecom had more than 77 million clients at end-June in Algeria, Pakistan, Egypt, Tunisia, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
Nokia, which made 38 percent of all cellphones sold world-wide in the third quarter, is the first handset maker to move strongly into web content services as growth in its traditional cellphone market stalls.
