Five member of a family, including two women and a child died near Wahdat Colony when the roof caved in on Tuesday morning. CPO Multan Syed Saud Saad Aziz said, "Five member of a family died on the spot and another four injured when a roof Murid Hussain collapsed near one-unit colony."
He further said that a double storey home collapsed when put 500 bricks were put on the top-floor for construction of wall, which could not bear the load and fell down. Moreover, he said that the bodies have been recovered from the rubbles. Rescue operations are underway for the recovery of the people trapped in the debris.
