Pakistan Muslim League-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that the issue of Kashmir had since been resolved, if his government was not toppled in an unconstitutional way on October 12, 1999 He said this while talking to All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Abdul Ghani Bhatt who called on him here at 90 Shahrah Quaid-e-Azam on Tuesday.
During the meeting, current situation in Kashmir and international financial crises came under discussion. The Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Syed Ghous Ali Shah, Rafiq Tarar, Ayaz Sadiq, Manzoor Hussein Syal, Khalil-ur-Rehman Khan and Malik Pervaiz were also present during the meeting.
Nawaz told Kashmiri leader that Pakistan would continue to extend full moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in their just struggle. He also said the resolution of this outstanding issue is necessary to ensure lasting peace in the region. After the meeting, Abdul Ghani Bhatt told reporters that during the meeting it was resolved that India, Pakistan and Kashmiri leaders should make efforts for the resolution of this issue which will greatly benefit to India as well as Pakistan and Kashmiris.
