Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has announced setting up of a 'Relief Fund' for the rehabilitation of Balochistan earthquake affectees, while a relief train will run from Punjab to carry relief goods for the affectees.
Senior Advisor to the Chief Minister and PML-N Punjab President Sardar Zulifqar Khosa told reporters here on Saturday that the Punjab government shares grief of people of Balochistan affected in the recent earthquake. He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has visited the quake-hit areas and expressed complete solidarity with the people of Balochistan.
Khosa said that in pursuance of directions of Chief Minister, a special train carrying relief goods will run from Rawalpindi on Sunday and after collecting relief goods from different parts of the country, it would reach Quetta on November 8.
He also urged the people to contribute in the Chief Minister's Relief Fund so that all out assistance could be provided to people of Balochistan affected by earthquake. Moreover, a spokesman of the Punjab government said that provincial minister Sardar Dost Mohammad Khosa handed over 47 trucks of relief goods to Balochistan Minister Toor Mohammad Khan.
