The Executive Director of Kashmir Centre Washington, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai has welcomed the recent statement of American Presidential candidate, Barack Obama in which he stressed to enhance understanding between Pakistan and India for resolving Kashmir dispute.
Senator Barack Obama, in a recent interview said that a better understanding between Pakistan and India should be facilitated to resolve the Kashmir dispute, KMS reported. Dr Fai said that Senator Obama's statement was in full conformity with the previous statements made by the officials of the United States Administration, advocating the implementation of the United Nations resolutions for the settlement of the dispute. Dr Fai stated that the international community should seize the moment and pursue efforts for a referendum in the disputed territory.
