The district will be able to achieve the target of wheat sowing this season largely due to the vigorous drive launched by agriculture department, availability of water and the incentive of handsome support rate of the golden grain.
EDO agriculture Rana Ahmed Munir said on Monday while highlighting that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, a robust drive has been launched across the province to achieve the goals linked to food autarky achievement.
"District agriculture department possesses as many as 18 graders for the grading of wheat seed and the growers must utilise these implements", he stressed while talking to reporters on Monday. Rana Munir said district Vehari has been allotted 315 green tractors on subsidy for its growers so that they could increase their agricultural produce and contribute to the national economy.
