The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has shifted huge quantity of relief goods to Quetta from Karachi to ensure timely response in case of any emergency in the earthquake-hit areas of Balochistan. The NDMA is busy in providing quick and easy provision of relief goods to earthquake-affected people and moved huge stock of relief goods COD, Karachi, to COD, Quetta, said an NDMA statement here on Tuesday.
The goods included 74,383 blankets, 1,602 tents, 738 quilts, 3,600 mats, 3,390 jackets, 2,076 bags of mixed clothes (cotton bags), 93 suitcases of mixed clothes, 3,200 jerseys, toys (five cartons) and stationery (one carton).
