Unknown miscreants in Peshawar on Wednesday night fired rockets, which hit PAF base, Peshawar Airport and a grid station and the city's adjoining areas causing the suspension of power in the metropolis, according to Aaj TV. The TV channel said that several explosions were heard in the city triggering panic among the people.
The tribe men and militants reportedly exchanged heavy firing. Due to rocket attack on Sheikh Mohammadi grid station, the whole city plunged into darkness. One rocket landed at the Peshawar Airport and the other at PAF Base due to which fire broke out, which was later controlled. However no loss of life and property was reported.
