ICE Canadian canola futures closed higher on Friday, taking strength from stronger soybean futures on the Chicago Board of Trade. January canola closed up $2.10 per tonne at $429.70. There was little fresh news to drive pricing, though the Canadian dollar was slightly firmer on Friday.
Dry weather was seen improving conditions for the final harvest. Chicago Board of Trade soybeans settled with the January up 15 cents at $9.21. Canola volume totalled 4,040 contracts.
