Balochistan's quake-stricken areas are likely to witness the temperature going down up to -9 degree Celsius, which will further add up to the hardships of the victims.
Meteorological Department Director General, Qamruz Zaman said that showers and snowfalls were expected between November 12 to November 14 in different mountainous areas of the country. Talking to a private TV channel he said that a westerly weather system will be approached upper parts of the country in next three days that will bring rains and snowfalls. The new system might not hit the quake-stricken areas but the mercury would drop up -4 to -9 degree Celsius. The victims need shelters for protecting them from the upcoming chilly weather.
Although food items and other necessities have been provided in the quake-hit areas and the victims in several areas have built up stocks of these relief goods apprehending severe cold and chill weather but the karez system and dams storing water are being damaged, scarcity of potable water in the areas is worrying most the quake-affected people.
