PPP asked to scrap 17th amendment

The Central Secretary Finance, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Muhammad Pervez Malik has said that the Pakistan People's Party should take immediate steps to scrap the 17th amendment avoid showing delinquency in this regard. Addressing a party meeting on Monday, Malik said, 'There is no ambiguity in the PML-N's stance on independence of judiciary and supremacy of parliament.'
He said it is the PPP's tactics to forms committees for issues that it does not want to resolve. Malik said, 'No committee was constituted for reinstatement of government employees removed during the premiership of Mian Nawaz Sharif.' Expressing grave concern over transfer of huge foreign exchange abroad, he said, the government has failed in controlling such acts.
At a time when the country is strapped for cash and facing economic problems, transfer of billions of dollars from the country is a conspiracy aimed to deepen the economic crisis and push Pakistan into the IMF's trap. Further, Malik said shortage of life saving drugs is also the result of poor planning as drugs disappeared for the market due to the government's hints to raise the prices of medicines.
