Elections to the senate, under the University of Karachi Act 1972 from the constituency of college teachers would be held on December 06, 2008. The polling would be held from 9:30am to 4:00pm at Government Islamia Arts, Commerce College, Near Guru Mandar and Government Superior Science College, Shah Faisal Colony.
The candidates contesting the elections can submit their nomination papers at the registrar office from November 20-22 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is November 29, while the final list of candidates would be issued on November 29. Further, the KU in a notification has said that only those teachers are eligible to contest for senate membership, who have a record of at least three years services in an affiliated college.
