Plastic mouldings turned mixed while wheat showed firmness as other commodities, some sharply closed lower during the week ended on Nov,15 moving somewhat against the world commodities trends. The plastic mouldings traders had announced a fortnight back to bring about change in ruling plastic mouldings prices. But it was days back.
The traders however on Monday reported that plastics turned mixed which the traders should have felt to console them. The following fluctuations in plastic moulding were prominent (per Lb) HDPE film Saudia 952 closed down way by Rs 3 to Rs 53, Mobil too conceded Rs 3 to Rs 53, and TR 144 was lower by Rs 2 to Rs 52. HDPE injection sabic 200056 rose by Re 1 to Rs 69, Mobil lost Rs 4 to Rs L8 and Iran gave away Rs 4 to Rs 45. HDPE (Blow) Kuwait shed Rs 4 to Rs 47, Marlex was down by Rs 3 to Rs 47 and Iran closed lower by Rs 3 to Rs 47. LOPE 374 conceded Rs 4 to Rs 60, MG 20 conceded Rs 10 to Rs 65 and MG 70 also shed same amount to Rs 65.
LLDPE W118 ended down by Rs 6 to Rs 45 and 7078 gave away Rs 5 to Rs 46, polypropylene film Thai was quoted at Rs 4350 and India was quoted at Rs 4350 while Kuwait was quoted at Rs 43.50 polypropylene (tape grade) India ended lower by Rs 7 to Rs 42, Kuwait ended lower by the same amount to Rs 42 and Saudia shed Rs 7 to Rs 42. Polypropylene Injection grade Saudia ended lower by Rs 7 to Rs 42, India lost same amount to Rs 42 and Kuwait shed Rs 7 to Rs 42. Polystyrene: BSF ended lower by Rs 300 to Rs 4000, and Pakistani was quoted at Rs 3203, copoly Block ended down by Rs 4 to Rs 50, and Random shed Rs 3 to Rs 62, High impact (per bal) Pakistani was quoted at Rs 3660, ABS (per bag) polylac 707 was down by Rs 100 to Rs 4600 and Iran was quoted at Rs 4550.
Elsewhere gram garda Punjab shed Rs 100 to Rs 4000 while the better type was quoted at Rs 4200, gram garda dal Punjab also shed Rs 100 to Rs 4800 while the better type was quoted at Rs 5000, yellow peas Canada closed lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2900 while better type was quoted at Rs 3050, yellow peas dal Canada shed same amount to Rs 3200 while the better type was quoted at Rs 3350, beetle chana I shed Rs 100 to Rs 4650 while other type was quoted at Rs 4850, beetle 50x50 shed Rs 100 to Rs 4100 while other type was quoted at Rs 4300 and dal beetle shed Rs 100 to Rs 4900 while better type was quoted at Rs 5100, wheat however was higher by Rs 25 to Rs 2850 while better type was quoted at Rs 2865.
On Tuesday market trend changed to sharply firm as was primarily marked in moong Punjab which gathered Rs 50 to RS 2875, guwar from Sindh followed suit and rose by same amount to Rs 2300 while better type was quoted at Rs 2400, guwar Punjab better type turned higher by Rs 100 to Rs 2300 while lower type was put at Rs 2100, castorseed Sindh and Lasbela turned sharply lower declining by Rs 100 to Rs 1300 and the other kind quoted at Rs 1250, rice Irri 6 Sindh lost Rs 75 to Rs 2350 said to be caused by larger supplies.
On Wednesday retailers were sidelined from commodities markets owing to firm prices and hence wholesalers reported an idle day. However.
The Jodia Bazar traders reported following changes: (per 40 kg) white pepper closed substantially higher by Rs 750 to Rs 15,600, dry ginger was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 6200, and dry ginger from Ethiopia gained same amount to Rs 3300 while big cardamom shed Rs 200 to Rs 12,200 cloves conceded Rs 2100 to Rs 15000 and sago close lower by Rs 20 to Rs 1920. Cooking oil prices are given below without noting variations in previous and Wednesday's prices. Mezan 5 liter quoted at Rs 580, Mezan 16 liter at Rs 1,580, Habib 5 liter at Rs 686, Dalda 5 liter at Rs 686, Soya Supreme 5 liter at Rs 665, ghee: Mezan 5 kilo priced at RS 485, Mezan soya supreme 5 kilo at Rs 640. .
On Thursday falling trend was seen on the grain market amid modest trading. On the seeds side til low type was sharply lower by Rs 200 to Rs 3300 and good quality was down by Rs 50 to Rs 3600. On the cereal side except wheat, which went up with sharp rise of Rs 50 to Rs 2900-2915, other items fell due to easy supply and less demand. Sugar best variety fell by Rs 50 to Rs 3450 while the low type did not show any change at Rs 3000, gur lower type was unchanged at Rs 2300 and good type shed Rs 100 to Rs 3200, Khandsari inferior quality did not show any change at Rs 2700 while the best type was down by Rs 100 to Rs 2900. On the rice sector Irri-white (broken) lost Rs 200 to Rs 1800, other types stayed put in process of dull business.
Friday went as an event-less day as usual main players being busy in preparation for Jumaa prayers.
On Jodia Bazar trading in milk powder moved both ways on Friday. The changes were : MILK POWDER SKIMMED (per carton): Irish skimmed was quoted at Rs 8,000 and Nur Pur edged down by Rs 100 to Rs 6,200. Vegetable Melco Veg moved downward by Rs 600 to Rs 6,500.
SWEETENED: Polac finished higher by Rs 600 to Rs 2,700. PINEAPPLE (per carton): Polac ended up by Rs 70 to Rs 1,320. On Saturday weheat price was sharply higher amid modest business and most of the commodities were unmoved due to lack of fresh of leads.
Wheat went up gaining Rs 50 to Rs 2950-2965, masoor Canada fell by Rs 50 to Rs 9500, gur inferior type maintained its overnight level at Rs 2300 while the best type gained Rs 100 to Rs 3300. Bajra low type lost Rs 50 to Rs 1625 while the best type did not move any side due to balanced demand and supply position.
On Jodia Bazar chemicals closed lower. The changes were:
CHEMICALS (per kg):
Sodium Sulphate edged down by 75 paisa to Rs 13, N J Taiwan ended lower by Rs 9 to Rs 172, formic acid Germany moved downward by Rs 2 to Rs 126, oxalic acid China went lower by Re 1 to Rs 77 and citric acid China finished lower by Rs 5 to Rs 82.
HYDROSULPHITE: China 88 percent closed lower by Rs 5 to Rs 107.
ACETIC ACID: Taiwan moved down by Rs 2 to Rs 86 and Korea closed lower by Re 1 to Rs 83.
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE: Taiwan was quoted at Rs 44 and Korea was quoted at Rs 47.
