The Director General, Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Shahid Mahmood has directed the officials concerned to set up another special squad, equipped with necessary manpower and machinery with a view to accelerate the ongoing drive against encroachments in LDA's scheme areas and utility area of private housing schemes in Lahore.
One LDA spokesperson said on Monday, the DG was chairing a meeting to review the progress on anti-encroachment campaign in the city. He ordered to chalk out a comprehensive anti-encroachment plan and fixing timeline to accomplish the task in various housing schemes in the provincial metropolis. Further, he directed to finalise anti-encroachment operation in a particular scheme within one week of time besides carrying it out without any discrimination.
