The Chief Justice, Lahore High Court on Monday took suo motu notice on the plight of woman, whose brother had grabbed her land and called for report from the concerned department. The court responded to a news item published in Daily Nawa-e-Waqt in which Samarun Nisa of Sheikhupura with her two children had appealed to the CJ to take action against his brothers, who had grabbed her land after subjecting her to severe tortured.
The lady narrated that her brothers had not only occupied her two and a half-acre of land, but also hurled her life threats. She submitted several applications to the police high ups, but the department was delaying the matter on one pretext or other.
