Another honour for Pakistan's greatest Test captain
LONDON: Another honour for Pakistan’s most successful captain Misbah-ul-Haq, as MCC has elected Misbah as an Honorary Life Member of the Club.
The membership of the club was awarded at the Lord’s during the rain-interrupted match between Afghanistan and the MCC XI.
Misbah-ul-Haq was a member of the MCC XI, captained by New Zealand’s Brendon McCulum.
The MCC has awarded Honorary Life Membership to hundreds of the finest cricketers and men and women associated with the game.
Misbah-ul-Haq is the 22nd Pakistani to have received this honor.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the 43-year-old played 75 Test matches for Pakistan between 2001 and 2017, scoring 5222 runs with 10 centuries. He retired earlier this year as Pakistan’s most successful Test captain with 26 triumphs.
