The Karachi Port handled 273,822 tonnes of cargo including 209,350 tonnes of import and 64,472 tonnes of export during last 72 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The freights comprised of 173,697 tonnes of dry cargo including 119,381 tonnes of general cargo; 6,515 tonnes of wheat; 14,590 tonnes of coal; 14,186 tonnes of scrap; 607 tonnes of logs; 18,418 tonnes of cement and 100,125 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seventeen ships namely Apl Jeddah, Cap Colorado, Isara Bhum, Maliau, MT Swat, Al-Sabiyah, Apl Zircon, Cosco Lian Yun Gang, Northern Harmony, City of Xiamen, Team Al-Emirates, Breeze, Sichem Marbella, Apl Topaz, Mol Affinity, Iron Butterfly and MT Johar sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Sixteen vessels viz Darya Yog, Cap Colorado, Apl Zircon, Cosco Lian Yun Gang, City of Xiamen, Surreal, Chalkidon, Sichem Marbella, Hyun Jin Ks 3, Mol Affinity, Apl Topaz, Iron Butterfly, MT Johar, Ts Jakarta, Belluga Fusion and Estere are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Ts Jakarta and Bunga Teratai Dua expected to sail on Friday while another four vessels viz Kota Lambang, Quetta, Darya Yog and Captain Yannis L are expected to sail on Saturday. Five ships namely Bunga Teratai Dua, Apl Balboa, Apl Dalian, African Ibis and BBC Bulgaria due to arrive on Friday while five vessels viz Sc Ghoji, Lucky-7, Saigon Express, Mare Doro and Vinh Hung are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 51,556 tonnes including 37,336 tonnes of import 14,220 tonnes of export cargo and 2,455 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Friday. The cargoes comprised of 3,727 tonnes of palm Oil; 14,559 tonnes of furnace oil and 33,270 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV Apl Almandine, CV Hanjin Rion Janeiro, CV OOCL Cobe and MT Sea Sky sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of nine ships namely Eastern Oasis, New Setokaze, Petali Lady, Yakima Pricess, Maersk Palermo, Maersk Novazzano, Maersk Verginia, Berdyansk and Super Star-III carrying palm oil, diesel oil, wheat, containers and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV OOCL Cobe, CV Hanjin Rion Janeiro, MV QSM Dubai, MV Sargodha, MV Grand View, MT Produce and MT Sea Sky are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, wheat, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Maersk Verginia and MT Petali Lady carrying containers and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Friday. Oil tanker Al-Soor-II with diesel oil arrived on Thursday while another two ships Wilma and Admas are due to arrive on Friday.
