Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo on Tuesday said that foreign investors would be facilitated to establish fertiliser plants in the country. "There is need to establish fertiliser plants in Pakistan and the government would encourage investment in this sector," Wattoo said while talking to a German business delegation.
The delegation led by Dr Olaf Berlien, Chairman Thyssen Krupp Technology called on the federal minister to discuss investment opportunities in the country. Secretary Industries and Production, Shahab Khawaja, was also present on the occasion.
Wattoo said that the government would provide all-out support for establishing industry on public private partnership basis. He said that Pakistan was an agrarian country and provides great opportunity for setting up agro-based industries, adding that foreign investors must take advantage of this opportunity.
