Minister of State for Defence Production Sardar Saleem Haider alongwith MPA Malik Khurram and DG Task Force Ghulam Qadir Jamot visited Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) here on Wednesday. Chairman POF Board Lieutenant General Syed Sabahat Husain received the dignitaries and introduced them to the members of POF Board and Senior directors.
The Minister of State was briefed about production capabilities and it highlighted that POF is the premier defence production complex of the country and is considered as lifeline to the Armed Forces of Pakistan. In addition to meeting the requirements of Pakistan Armed Forces, POF is exporting products to friendly countries and also having commercial production for sales within the country.
The Minister was further informed that Pakistan Ordnance Factories was also providing unmatched services for the welfare of employees in the field of health, transport and education. The Minister of State was briefed about POF's Vision-2020 to cater for the emerging economic and global challenges and to enter into the new area of excellence.-PR
