It gives me great pleasure to learn that SHAMROCK Conferences International is organising the Oil & Gas Pakistan 2009 Forum in Islamabad. The meeting comes at an appropriate time when the oil and gas sector prepares to enter a new era in line with the new Petroleum Policy 2009 to be announced by the Government of Pakistan soon.
There is tremendous potential for the growth and development of the oil & gas sector in Pakistan, and therefore, I would like to encourage local and foreign companies to enhance their scope of work in exploration and production activities.
The ministry is committed to providing all possible assistance to existing and potential companies in ensuring that work is carried on in full swing without any hindrance. I would like to welcome all delegates who are participating in the Oil & Gas Pakistan 2009 Forum and wish them success in their deliberations.
