A joint pipeline supplying gas from two separate wells to Sui purification plant was blown up by unknown men in Dera Bugti district on Sunday, police told APP by phone here. Explosive material placed under the pipeline supplying gas to the purification plant destroyed about two feet portion of the eight-inch diameter pipeline.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Petroleum Limited sources said that the organisation had sent its engineers and technicians to the site for repairing the damaged portion of the pipeline.
The gas supply to the purification plant would be restored after completion of repairing work. The police have registered a case against unknown men and started investigation.
