25th martyrdom day of renowned leader of Kashmir Freedom Movement, Muhammad Maqbool Butt will be observed on both sides of the Line of Control including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir on February 11. The renewal of the pledge to continue the mission of the departed Kashmiri leader till Jammu & Kashmir people are granted their legitimate right to self-determination through liberation of the homeland from long Indian subjugation.
Processions and rallies will be brought out in all small and major towns on both sides of the LoC to pay glorious tributes to the late leader who was put to gallows by India on this day in New Delhi's Tihar Jail in 1984 for demanding the right to self determination for the people of Jammu Kashmir state under the spirit of international norms and commitments, according to a programme announced by the Jammu Kashmir National Liberation Front.
In occupied Jammu & Kashmir, a complete strike followed by rallies, seminars, conferences and processions will be the hallmark of the martyrdom day of one of the pioneer leaders of the Kashmir freedom struggle, said Central Vice President, JKNLF, Muhammad Ramzan Dutt Advocate.
'Memorandums comprising Kashmiris long-standing persistent demand of the early resolution of Kashmir issue under UN resolutions, will be handed over to the nearest UN observers missions in occupied Kashmir and Azad Jammu Kashmir,' Dutt told APP.
Thursday while unveiling the programme of observance of the martyrdom day at either side of the LoC. JKNLF leader said that major ceremony of the day will be held in Muzaffarabad under the auspices of JKNLF led by the party's President, Shoukat Maqbool Butt, the son of the departed freedom fighter.
