Like other parts of the country Kashmir Solidarity Day was also observed in NWFP with fervour and pledge to support the right of self-determination for Kashmiris here on Thursday. Many rallies and functions were arranged in all major cities throughout the province in which speakers highlighted the struggle of the Kashmiris in getting their due right.
A rally was also organised in Peshawar, which was attended by District Nazim Peshawar Haji Ghulam Ali, DCO Peshawar Sahibzada Mohammad Anees, besides local government representatives, teachers, political leaders, religious leaders and many more peoples from different walks of life.
People from all walks of life expressed their solidarity with the Kashmiris people and voiced concern to the United Nation to implement resolutions to give the right of self-determination to the Kashmiri people. They also condemned the atrocities meted out to the Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir and called for Indian troops pull out from the occupied territory. There was a public holiday throughout the province to express solidarity with the Kashmiri in their struggle to self-determination.
