State Minister for Industries and Production Dr Ayat Ullah Durrani has said on Monday that government believed in political dialogues and wants to solve problems through negotiations. Talking to PTV in "Good Morning Pakistan", he termed President's visit to NWFP and tribal areas a successful and said that all aspects including law and order and development of tribal areas were discussed during his visit.
He maintained the government would not compromise on its writ as it could not bear violence against innocent and law-abiding citizens. Dr Durrani said the government's policy was crystal-clear on the war against terror and was working on three-pronged strategy of dialogue, development and use of force as last resort.
He said the government wanted to provide a sense of security to the insurgency hit people and underlined the need for responsible and well-co-ordinated efforts to meet the challenge. The Minister said the government was focusing to improve the quality of life of people in rural and urban areas.
