The Ministry of Interior has put the name of Brigadier Muhammad Farooq Maan(Retd), former Chairman, Punjab Co-operative Board for Liquidation (PCBL) on Exit Control List, according to a notification of the Ministry sent to PCBL here on Monday.
The notification says, "It has been decided to place the name of Brigadier Muhammad Farooq Maan (Retd) s/o late Brigadier Khushi Muhammad Chaudhry(Retd), Ex-Chairman, PCBL, r/o House No 33 Green Area Housing Scheme, Raiwind Road, Lahore on Exit Control List under Section 2 of Exit from Pakistan (Control) Ordinance, 1981." The name has been forwarded to FIA and Department of Immigration and Passports.
Brigadier Maan (Retd) is allegedly involved in more than one case of land scandals and irregularities perpetrated during his tenure of office as Chairman of the PCBL. The present administration of the Board has sent references of corruption and irregularities to Anti-Corruption Establishment, Punjab for further investigation.
