Agriculture Department, Punjab, has formally launched a project for promotion of drip/sprinkle irrigation system and asked the applicant farmers to get their land surveyed by the district and tehsil staff of the irrigation improvement wing of the department.
Giving this information, the department said that the applicants should get the system design and assessment of budget finalised from the companies approved by the department and deposit their share of the expenses in the account of the Deputy Project Director concerned till March 15, 2009, so as the proposed system could be installed on their land.
