The Punjab Governor has on Thursday continued with the reshuffling of the Punjab bureaucracy, in which it has appointed new Planning and Development Board Punjab Chairman, Punjab Additional Secretary, and also made 10 senior bureaucrats OSD (On Special Duty). According to sources, in this connection the government has issued a notification.
Sohail Ahmed has been transferred and posted as Chairman of Planning and Development Board Punjab Chairman, replacing Muhammad Sami Saeed. It may noted that Sohail Ahmed has served as a Punjab Finance Secretary during the tenure of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and was sent back to the Federal government by Shahbaz Sharif.
Also, Taimur Azmat has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, replacing Javed Aslam.
The new Additional Chief Secretary had served as an Punjab Information Secretary during the tenure of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and later he was transferred by Shahbaz Sharif's government came in to the power. The government has also appointed Haji Habibur Rahman as new Capital City Police officer Lahore.
According to a notification, the following officials have made OSD: Muhammad Sami Saeed, Chairman Planning and Development Board Punjab, Javed Aslam, Additional Chief Secretary, Muhammad Pervaiz Rathore, Capital City Police Officer, Lahore, Rao Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Capital City Police Officer Rawalpindi, Omar Rasul, Secretary (Implementation and Co-ordination), Fawad Hasan Fawad, Secretary Communication and Works, Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan, Secretary (Co-ordination), Chief Minister's Secretariat, Zulfiqar Ahmed, Additional Secretary (Implementation and Co-ordination), Dr Syed Tauqir Hussain Shah, Secretary to Chief Minister, and Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema, Regional Police Officer, Gujranwala. They have been directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department Punjab for further orders.
Also, Tariq Najeeb Najmi, Programme Director, PMU, Agriculture Sector Programme, Loan-II, is transferred and posted as Secretary (Co-ordination), Chief Minister's Secretariat, vice Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan. Captain Muhammad Khurram Agha (Retd), District Co-ordination Officer, Vehari, is transferred and posted as Additional Secretary (implementation and Co-ordination), vice Zulfiqar Ahmed. Also, Media Advisor to Governor Punjab Farrukh Shah has been appointed as Director General Public Relations Punjab. It may be mentioned that Farrukh Shah has earlier also worked as Director General Public Relations Punjab.
