Federal Ministry of Commerce has initiated an exercise to formulate Trade Policy for the year 2009-10. In this regard the ministry has advised all trade bodies and associations including FPCCI, KCCI, Lahore Chamber and ICCI, to forward their proposals by March 25, 2009 positively.
On receipt of the proposals the ministry will examine each and every proposal in detail and the proposals have to pass through various to be part of the new trade policy. The viable and practicable proposals will be included in the trade policy.
The ministry also pointed out that if proposals were not received by the specified date, the ministry would not be in a position to consider the same irrespective of their merit. To submit proposal on or before the specified dated, FPCCI, KCCI, Site Association of Industry, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry and Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry in circulars have directed their members to submit proposals as soon as possible.
