President Barack Obama on Saturday hoped that Pakistan and the United States of America can work together in a spirit of peace and friendship to build a more secure world. Responding to a message of felicitation by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on assuming the office of President of the United States, Obama appreciated his thoughtfulness.
The US president expressed confidence that "we can work together in a spirit of peace and friendship to build a more secure world during the next four years." "I look forward to working with you in that effort and in promoting good relations between our countries," President Obama said.
