To review and discuss the security situation in Swat and Fata as a result of which IDPs belonging to Mohmand, Bajaur agencies, Swat and other areas migrated to various districts of the province, a weekly meeting was held at Afghan Commissionerate's Office here on Monday.
Provincial Relief Commissioner, Jamil Amjad chaired the meeting which was attended by officials of various departments, concerning the situation besides representatives of local and international donor's agencies including UNHCR, UNICEF, WHO, ICRC and local relief agencies like Muslim-Aid etc.
The participants updated the meeting regarding different initiatives carrying out for the well-being of the displaced persons in settled districts included Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, Charsadda, Swabi and Nowshera etc.
Relief Commissioner urged them to go ahead with the relief activities and carry out their services for providing physical help in healthcare, education, foodstuff, shelter etc. The meeting was also informed about its shelters, water and sanitation problems at the camps and educational facilities including distribution of textbooks to the students in the camps.
