Indus Motor Company Limited selected the Construction Technology Training Institute (CTTI), Islamabad to launch its 3rd Toyota Technical Education Programme (T-TEP) to cater to the needs of the northern region of the country. The inauguration ceremony was recently held at CTTI and Chihiro Atsumi, Ambassador of Japan was the chief guest for the ceremony.
Other participants included representatives from the automobile industry, academicians, automobile vendors, dealers and representatives of Indus Motor Company and Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan. The chief guest, while addressing the gathering, lauded the efforts of Indus Motor Company and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), saying that T-TEP provided a means to uplift technical and vocational standards in the automobile trade and had worked to bridge the gap between industry and technical education. He appreciated the programme, which serves the community and is beyond any commercial consideration.
Yutaka Arae, Advisor to Chairman, IMC, in his speech mentioned that Toyota believes in Kaizen (Continuous improvement) with an aim to create a win-win situation for all the stakeholders, especially in the area of human resource development. Arae added that Toyota's global success has come through innovation, technology development, team work and recognising the market requirement.-PR
