The Karachi Port handled 89,399 tonnes of cargo including 43,576 tonnes of import and 45,823 tonnes of export, 5,734 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The freights comprised of 71,892 tonnes of dry cargo including 63,071 tonnes of general cargo; 8,821 tonnes of cement and 17,507 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Apl Sokhana, H & H Tide, Salome, NCC Rabigh and Tan Binh-28 sailed out to sea during the reported period. Five vessels viz Ts India, MSC Eliana, Suntras, CS China and Al-Marwah are currently at the berths.
Six ships namely Geo Milev, MSC Eliana, Nememcha, Thor Irene, Hyundai Duke and Ts Dubai expected to sail on Friday. Five vessels viz Kota Hapas, Miyunhe, Burgas, Chol San Bong Chong and Courier due to arrive on Friday while six ships namely Stove tradition, MT Johar, Suzanne, Thuringia Express, Apl Balboa and Hanjin Ningbo are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 51,689 tonnes including 32,356 tonnes of import, 19,333 tonnes of export cargo and 2,144 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Friday.
The cargoes comprised of 11,000 tonnes of crude oil; 7,644 tonnes of palm oil; 4,717 tonnes of cement and 28,506 tonnes of containerised cargo. Five ships MV Nobleses, CV CMA CGM Berlioz, CV New Delhi Express, CV Hanjin Rio de Jenario and MT Swat sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of eight ships namely Maersk Novazzano, Maple Galaxy, Ginga Lion, Sea Sky, Al-Salam-II, Jumbo Challenger, Alaska-II and Vancoure-II carrying containers, palm oil, furnace oil, diesel oil, general cargo and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV New Delhi Express, CV Hanjin Rio de Jenaro, CV CMA CGM Berlioz, MV Jaipur, MV Alexi-III, MT Lion Princess, MT Fair Chem Changer and MT Swat are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil and crude oil respectively during the report period.
Four ships Maersk Novazzano, CV Maersk Montana, MV Jumbo Challenger and MT Al-Salam-II carrying containers, general cargo and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Friday. MV Ansan is due to arrive on Saturday.
