No pomp and show observed on basant night

The celebrations of Basant and Jashan-e-Baharan commenced on Saturday evening amidst controversy, but due to prevailing law and order situation, unrest and political crisis in the country basant night was not celebrated with pomp and show.
On the eve of basant night only youth were present on the rooftops and their families distanced them from such activities, as traditionally, Basant brings out the cultural and social icons of the Multan city every year.
Multinational companies and corporate sectors, which used to organise special functions and parties to celebrate basant, but this year no such ceremonies were held across the city. Moreover, PHA also used to organise especial kite-flying competition at Qasim Bagh stadium but this year no such arrangements were observed so far.
