In occupied Kashmir, 40 persons were injured when a passenger vehicle, hijacked by a policeman was involved in an accident in Budgam district. According to Kashmir Media Service, the police constable who asked the driver of the vehicle to vacate his seat at Waterhali caused the accident.
Policeman after taking control drove the bus at high speed due to which he lost control and resulted in the vehicle falling into a gorge near Dadina area of the district. In the mishap at least 40 persons were injured, said a passenger. The injured were shifted to Bone and Joint and Soura Hospitals in Srinagar. Meanwhile, three persons were killed when a car travelling skidded off the road and rolled down about 400 feet into a stream near Jakhani in Udhampur.
