The US Embassy in Islamabad is temporarily suspending consular services on Monday and Tuesday due to the law and order situation and blockades of roads in the twin cities. According to the information available on the US embassy website, the office of the US embassy in Islamabad would remain close on March 16 and 17.
According to sources in the British High Commission, the High Commission would remain open. However, those who are coming from outside of Islamabad were told to not come to the office on Monday. At the same time all the private educational institutions had also announced to suspend their activities on Monday and Tuesday.
